Can wind energy be used in developing countries? |
|
|
Turbines that are simple to install (not requiring high levels of skilled project management and labour) work very well in developing countries and they are already used. The ZZ 250 is a very simple product to put up (usually in less than a day) and therefore fits in to this model very well. FutureWind is looking to manufacture this product in the host nations to encourage the use of local labour and materials. This reduces the import value, intrinsic expensive western labour and therefore ticket price. This makes the power much less expensive. |
