What are the benefits of using renewable energy sources?

Fossil fuels are running out, but more significantly the use of fossil fuels is producing a global increase in CO2, regarded as a “greenhouse” gas. Increase in greenhouse gasses causes global climate change resulting in flooding, crop failure and other naturally occurring disasters.
